How to import audio files into avid?

Go to >File>Input>Import Media and navigate to the folder that contains the audio files that are to be imported. Click on Options. Then click on "Options" again. Click on the Audio tab. Choose to convert Sample rate to Project sample rate.

This section will cover bringing your OMF/AAF back into the Avid editing environment. You can import by either File/Import and selecting the OMF/AAF or simply dragging and dropping into a bin. If you embedded the audio, then you can ensure that it will all be there. If you selected any other setting, make sure that the audio files were copied with the session data. You will also notice that if you have embedded the audio, the clips and the sequence will show up automatically in the bin.

In the main interface, click ‘Add File’ button to load your source MXF files from your camera or from a folder stored on your HDD that contains your source media. Attention: While importing Panasonic P2 MXF clips to HD Video Converter for conversion, please make sure you have the entire MXF file structure as it saved on your camcorder.

On your itunes preferences, go to advanced and select import. You can then change it to import it as a wave file. Import the track(s) from your cd into itunes and then you will have them as wav files.

STEP ONE: Import subtitle file into Avid Add a video track on top of your timeline and rename it as Subtitles (or whatever you prefer). Go to your Project Window (or CMD+9) ----> Effect ----> Generator ---> SubCap. Drag the SubCap Effect to your Subtitles track.

Start the TS to Avid DNxHD conversion Tap "Convert" button to start converting.TS files to DNxHD MOV for importing to Avid Media Composer. Once the conversion process finished, click "Open" button to get the exported files for Avid Media Composer.
